pharmacological properties of
Alpha-agonists, a derivative of imidazoline, a means for local use. At low concentrationshas mainly alpha2-adrenomimeticheskoe effect at high concentrations acts on alpha 1-adrenoretseptory.Pri intranasal application does not have systemic effects.
It has a vasoconstrictor effect, reduces the swelling of the mucous membrane of the noseand upper respiratory tract. When the local intranasal application does not irritate themucous membranes, does not cause congestion. Effect appears within 15 minutes after ingestion, lasts for 6-8 hours.
Indications for use
Acute rhinitis (including allergic), vasomotor rhinitis, paranasal sinuses, Eustachian, otitis media. Vasoconstriction of the mucous membrane for diagnostic purposes (under thesupervision of a physician).
